Since 2016 designed by Veronique Sawady, founder and designer of Kiligdress, wedding dresses for modern brides. Brides who are looking for something special, far away from the mainstream and from tulle and glitter. Inspired by my own experiences when looking for a wedding dress, the idea for Kiligdress Bridal Fashion was born.
kilig [ki-lig] comes from Tagalog (a widely spoken language in the Philippines) and means pounding heart, "being in love" and butterflies in the stomach. Every bride feels that when she finds HER wedding dress.

1. The perfect preparation!
So that your wedding dress search is relaxed, you should start your search 6-8 months before the wedding day. Many wedding dresses are made exclusively to order. (Of course there are always ways to order a wedding dress at short notice, but the selection may be smaller then)
It is best if you already have an idea of the overall concept of the wedding day. Will it be a glamorous party in an extraordinary location, or are you planning a relaxed party in a small circle? Accordingly, a glamorous dress with a train or a simple dress or a two-piece suit suits better.
Think about your budget beforehand and factor it into your bridal shop selection.
So you won't be surprised when you hear the price of your dream dress.

Kiligdress dresses are mostly designed in such a way that they can be worn again and again with changes, e.g. "shortening". So you can wear YOUR DRESS over and over again and enjoy that special feeling over and over again!

2. Stay true to yourself!
Your wedding dress should reflect your individual style. So choose a dress that makes you feel beautiful and comfortable, and definitely not disguised.
You can ask yourself the following questions, for example:
Which style do I prefer in my everyday wardrobe?
(e.g. feminine, elegant, simple, modern)
What do I love about my body and want to emphasize?
(Your answer to this question influences the silhouette of your outfit, for example)

3. Your wedding dress fitting...
should be a very special experience
In any case, make an appointment in advance in a wedding dress shop of your choice.
In order for your fitting to be an unforgettable experience, the shop should also suit you, your personality and your ideas. There is a huge variety here, large stores with a wide variety of dresses to choose from, or smaller stores that may specialize in a particular style, such as kiligdress.
Ask yourself what suits you best.
Think about who you want to take with you to this special experience. My advice: less is more.
People who know you and your style well can support you on this day, remember that the more opinions you hear, the faster it can unsettle you and cloud your gut feeling.
There are also more and more brides who want to enjoy this moment alone, with themselves.

4. Trust your gut feeling!
When do you know if you have found your dream dress? There's still a myth that tears have to flow before you know it's YOUR DRESS. From my many years of experience, I can tell you: It doesn't have to be, and in most cases it's not like that. Much more often it is your radiance when you look at yourself in the mirror, listen to your gut feeling and just feel beautiful.
You will know!!
And honestly... sometimes you might want to sleep on it too, that's totally fine too.
5. YES to the dress. What now?

Now you can really enjoy the anticipation.
Time to create the details for your bridal look. Once you have found the dress, you can think about your styling, ie hairstyle, make-up and accessories. Here you can let off steam.
